A Father, A Coach, A Disciple-Maker

Jair is the father of one of our League of Nations players. He is a really supportive dad and always shows up to cheer for his son on game days. On the first game day of the fall semester, Pavel extended an invitation to all parents who wanted to get more involved with the league.

One of our primary goals is always to multiply the impact of the League of Nations by empowering community members to be leaders. Jair called Pavel and said he would really like to be a coach. He expressed his love for the work we are doing to impact the kids of Alief and wanted to be a part of it.

Since then, Jair has joined us as a dedicated coach and even gone above and beyond the responsibilities of a coach! We have equipped him with the Creation to Christ curriculum, which provides tools to coach holistically and disciple kids, and now he is pouring into his community. This year, he also attended the North American Sports Ministry Ready Set Go Conference to grow as a sports ministry leader.
